New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
This stream is designed for highly skilled foreign nationals in the federal Express Entry pool who intend to settle permanently in New Brunswick. A provincial nomination from Immigration New Brunswick (ImmigrationNB) increases your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for PR from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Pathways under the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream
There are two main pathways under this stream:
Employment in New Brunswick Pathway
You must have a full-time, non-seasonal job or job offer from a New Brunswick employer.
You must have lived and worked in New Brunswick for at least 12 months.
New Brunswick Interests Pathway
You may be eligible if you have received a letter of interest in your federal Express Entry profile from the province.
Important Update:
New Brunswick will not be considering applications for the following NOCs under this stream:
Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 12200)
Administrative assistants (NOC 13110)
Restaurant and food service managers (NOC 60030)
Food service supervisors (NOC 62020)
Cooks (NOC 63200)
Bakers (NOC 63202)
Additionally, the New Brunswick Student Connection Pathway will not be available in 2025. However, graduates with eligible job offers can still apply under other pathways, such as the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream or the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream
This stream targets foreign nationals currently employed or with job offers from eligible New Brunswick employers. The goal is to address labour shortages in roles that cannot be filled by permanent residents or Canadian citizens.
Pathways under the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream
The 2025 version of this stream consists of three distinct pathways:
New Brunswick Experience Pathway
You must be working full-time in a non-seasonal position for an eligible New Brunswick employer.
You must have lived and worked in New Brunswick for at least 6 months.
New Brunswick Graduates Pathway
You must have completed a program of study eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP) at a New Brunswick Designated Learning Institution (DLI).
You must be working full-time or have an offer for a full-time, non-seasonal position with an eligible New Brunswick employer.
New Brunswick Priority Occupations Pathway
You must have a full-time, non-seasonal job offer from an eligible employer in one of New Brunswick’s priority NOC codes.
You must have at least 1 year of experience related to this position.
Important Update:
New Brunswick will not be considering applications for certain NOCs in 2025, including:
Administrative assistants (NOC 13110)
Shippers and receivers (NOC 14400)
Food and beverage servers (NOC 65200)
Labourers in food and beverage processing (NOC 95106)
