If you don't have an express entry account but would like to immigrate to Canada, a provincial nomination can make that happen faster for you.
Provincial Nomination Overview
A provincial nomination provides prospective immigrants 50% (600/1200) of the total points available for the express entry system. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) vary from province to province and so do the requirements for each applicant.
PNPs looks for skilled professional who are willing to relocate live and work in the province. Most PNP are driven by occupations in demand in various provinces. In addition, some PNPs are now linked to the express entry system. Therefore in other to access these PNPs, applicants are required to have an express entry account.
Another common requirement is physical presence in the province. Applicants typically would be required to have lived or schooled in the province. The only category that would not make this requirement mandatory is the occupation in demand categories.
